Solaris 9 and Ultra 5 issue

Good morning, all.

I've got a rather unique issue with a Sun Ultra 5 and Solaris 9. I just
installed 9 on this box the other day. After the install was complete,
I removed the monitor and the keyboard and put it back in the rack in
the datacenter. I then connected the TIP cable to the back of it and
powered it up.

And then it hung. So, I tip'd to it and then it proceeded to boot. It
is hanging right after the "Solaris 5.9" banner and right before it
brings up the hme interfaces. It will hang everytime until I TIP to the
box and then it proceeds. Now, if I removed the TIP cable, it is fine -
it boots up without issue. It also works fine with a monitor and
keyboard. So, I was thinking it might be the cable, so I tried it on
another Ultra and it worked fine. The Ultra that I upgraded was running
8 the day before and the TIP function worked fine.

I then patched Solaris with all available patches and made sure it the
OBP is current, which it is.

Any ideas as to what may be causing this?

Thanks in advance!
