I am moving from Legato to native ufsdump, and am
seeing the following problems:

 DUMP: Writing 63 Kilobyte records
DUMP: Date of this level 5 dump: Tue Dec 24 08:16:26
2002
DUMP: Date of last level 0 dump: Thu Dec 19 17:13:32
2002
  DUMP: Dumping /dev/rdsk/c1t5d0s2 (server:/mtpoint)
to otherserver:/dev/rmt/0cbn.
DUMP: Mapping (Pass I) [regular files]
  DUMP: Mapping (Pass II) [directories]
  DUMP: Mapping (Pass II) [directories]
  DUMP: Mapping (Pass II) [directories]
  DUMP: Mapping (Pass II) [directories]
  DUMP: Mapping (Pass II) [directories]
  DUMP: Mapping (Pass II) [directories]
  DUMP: Mapping (Pass II) [directories]
  DUMP: Estimated 12843468 blocks (6271.22MB).
  DUMP: Dumping (Pass III) [directories]
DUMP: Dumping (Pass IV) [regular files]
DUMP: 48.47% done, finished in 0:10
DUMP: bread: dev_seek error: Error 0
DUMP: Warning - block 1015414400 is beyond the end
of `/dev/rdsk/c1t5d0s2'
DUMP: bread: dev_seek error: Error 0

I took the server down and fsck'd the fileystem, and
it still fails. I found some info about a relevant
patch, but it only appears to apply to Sol 2.5.

Pertinent info:

-Solaris 2.7 (dumphost and client)
-multiple failing filesystems, all are on metastor/LSI
RAID 5 systems
-I tried both the raw and block device
-sometimes it fails immediately, reporting corrupt
superblock errors. Same filesystem runs fsck (forced)
cleanly.
-happens on level0 as well as incremental dumps

Thanks in advance -
