Hi everybody,

We have a machine that is reporting some hard to explain memory usage. The machine is a E450 with
3gb of RAM, Solaris 9, Veritas Volume Mgr 3.2 and Oracle 9.2.0.1.

The memory free reported by top and vmstat can vary from 1gb down to 47mb, we have captured some ps
output using 'ps -eo user, pid, vsz, rss, osz, pmem, args' and done a diff when the memory usage is at
81MB and 1040MB and this is showing the dfferences as being in KB's with the biggest difference
being 1MB.

Can anyone help with anything else I should be looking at, or any ideas on what else might be using
the memory

Thanks
Darren Brechman-Toussaint
