Question : Failed to write utmpx

Sorry, Have problems with the list due to subject.

Anyhow,
Got these error messages during boot up(sparc-sol2.8):

warning - Unable to repair the / filesystem.
INIT: Cannot create /var/adm/utmpx
failed write of utmpx entry: ""
can not create /var/adm/utmpx
INIT: single user mode
type: control-d to proceed with normal startup,
enter password for maintenance..

What is the esiaest way to remedy this?.
seems like , /var/adm/utmpx.. is full...??
