Hi all !

Does anybody know how to start an ufsrestore command in a fully "non-
interactif" mode ?

Here the ufsdump/ufsrestore commands I use to backup/restore data:
/usr/sbin/ufsdump 0f - /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s0 | (cd /backup_disk ; /usr
/sbin/ufsrestore xfy -)

This command is started from the crontab, so it must be launched in a
fully "non-interactive" mode.

At the end of the restoration, the ufsrestore command ask for the
following informations:
set owner/mode for '.'? [yn]
Directories already exist, set modes anyway? [yn]

The response to the both questions is yes (y) but how to tell it to
ufsrestore without having to type them ?

I haven't found any options to solve this issue.
I've tried the following:
$ /usr/sbin/ufsdump 0f - /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s0 | (cd /backup_disk ; /usr
  /sbin/ufsrestore xfy - < ufsrestore_answer )
(the file ufsrestore_answer contains 2 lines with 'y'), but this
doesn't work :-(.

Any idea of how to solve this pb ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Sabrina
