Dear Sun Managers,
I have a backup server running solaris 5.6 with a solstice 5.1
backup software. The hard disk space is almost over. I need more space for
installing patches for the OS as well as the backup software. My question
is can I add another hard disk to the existing machine? There is a slot
available for that. I want to know what will be the complications, if I
add another hard disk, will the OS recognise the hard disk? What precautions
need to taken so that the backups will not be affected as a result of this
addition. Please wipe away my ignorance.
