Import netbackup database

Hi,

Over the weekend, I had a fun time patching all of my servers. At my
company we have Solaris 2.5.1 - Solaris 9 running. Now everything
before Solaris 8 was setup by a multitude of contractors over the
years. To my horror, our netbackup server's kernel files were mucked
with by one of those contractors.. so after the patches were applied
and I rebooted the system.. it would not come back up. And to make
things even more entertaining, I can't find the Solaris 2.6 media
anywhere.

Well, most people probably would have freaked out, but I had another
netbackup server that I was planning on using with an ADIC 1000, that
we were going to get, until our deal with EMC fell apart.. long story..
Anyways, it has Solaris 9 and Netbackup 4.5. The old backup server had
Solaris 2.6 and Netbackup 3.4.1. Now I swapped the servers and got the
sg drivers working for the exabyte autoloaders (scary.. but they work..
still wish we were going to keep the ADIC), and now I want to import
the
database from the old Netbackup server.

Needless to say, I tried doing this with the bprecover commands as
defined in the Netbackup manuals, and to make things really fun.. I see
my policies, clients, and media. But when I try to do a restore.. the
process hangs.. the tape does not even get mounted. I used the report
program to pull of the media contents, and the tape get
mounted.. not issue. So I did what any good Solaris guy would do.. I
trussed each command that's part of the restore process.. and it looks
like it's trying to connect to the old media server... which obviously
does not exsist.

So now.. that the long intro is over.. now comes the question..

Do have to rename the replacement backup server the same as the
original for the imported database to work properly.. or am I missing
something else that's stopping me?
