disk not responding

Folks,

This is probably a repetitive question. However, the latech.edu search site
for this Sun group appears to be down. I am getting the following from my
E220R running on Solaris 7 and Veritas Volume Manager.

tail /var/adm/messages
unix: WARNING: /pci@1f,4000/scsi@3/sd@0,0 (sd0):
disk not responding to selection

format
Searching for disks...done
AVAILABLE DISK SELECTIONS:
       0. c0t0d0 <drive type unknown>
          /pci@1f,4000/scsi@3/sd@0,0
After disk selection
selecting c0t0d0
[disk unformatted]

Is there a fix for this or to replace the hard drive as a better choice?

TIA,
Dan
