Thank you to those who have quickly replied.

Many have asked for more info well for what its worth.

We are running a series of Netscape Proxy (Ver 3.6) servers. Each box
has many forward and reverse proxies.
Some instances have caching turned on and others do not. e.g.. THe ones
that are purely HTTPS reverse proxies.

We have just purchased 4 new SUN servers to replace the older ones and
are considering using squid. Namely because the Netscape 3.6 does not
support HTTP1.1. This has caused grief in many areas. Another trouble
area is that of the proxy server using the local UFS for caching.

I am looking at alternatives for squid to store its cache. With the
money we have saved on the Netscape licenses we may be able to purchase
VxFS
VxFS seems to be the choice product to use given the responses so far.

Cheers
Greg K
