Thanks for the help everyone, the problem was the default /etc/profile file.
Don't know what was wrong with it, but once I renamed it, this problem went
away. I can su - oracle now.

Subject: su - useraccount
I am running Solaris 9, and I am trying to do this:
su - useraccounthere
but it hangs. Just blank. If I press Return, I just get empty lines.
(through telnet) If I do this:
su useraccounthere
it works, but I don't get put into the proper home directory and such. Does
anyone have any ideas? Why do the su - useraccounthere hang?
