unfortunately, the syntax is correct (except the "tabs") , because the
"slashes" was appended by my dastardly email client...

anyway, now it works, the "*.*" was wrong, it's not supported by SOLARIS!!!

        Hi Pablo,

 the sytax should be @remote_host , without the slashes.
If that doesn't help start the syslogdeamon on the remote host with the
debug option to see if the messages arrive there.

I have a problem. Syslogd don't send messages to remote syslog

the entry in syslog.conf is

*.* @/remote_host/

the syslog version is 1.12 on Solaris 7
