Great thanx to the following for responding, Annex guru's all:

Apparently there are several methods by which you can define the gateway
syntastically in the config.annex file, but I choose one and went with it,
largely based on comparing all the diffrent options I was sent, herewas the final method:
1) Log into the Annex
2) 'su'
3) edit config.annex
4) Add the following lines:
%gateway
net default gateway 146.125.58.126 metric 1 hardwired
end
(*a note on this file, I was supprised to find it empty, but it is
suppose to be with no add on fixes have been done)5) Change into admin with "admin" command
6) Use "show annex" to verify that it does use the config.annex file name.
7) Quit admin ('quit') to go bad to su priv.
8) Run the command 'boot' with no options. About 60 secs later it'll come
back up.
This worked like a dream. I was also pointed to a pretty awsome site:
http://www.ofb.net/~jheiss/annex/
And, just for the archives, this is the exact model Annex I'm using:
Annex administration MICRO-XL-UX R7.0.1, 8 ports
Thanx again to all who responded!
