What is function of pmfd in Sun Cluster 3.0?
This suggests that pmfd is for Process Monitoring, i.e. checking if a
process is still running. It will monitor network connections and fail between them if they
fail. It will also notify the Cluster software if all interfaces in-group fail, so that the cluster software can consider failing over if the other node has network and this one doesn't.
