Hello List
Because iPlanet Directory Server is now bundled with Solaris 9 I want to
use LDAP for central password storage.
I event got the LDAP Server up and running and could configure the Solaris
Clients to authenticate against the LDAP-Server but
I have one BIG problem.
How do I change the passwords for Users as root (e.g. lost or uninitalized passwords)
I tried to use the pam_unix (passwords are stored in crypt format) and also pam_ldap, but always the same error occurs:
# passwd test
New Password:
Re-enter new Password:
Segmentation Fault
changing the password as user works fine.
even tried setting the ACLs on the LDAP-Server so, that everyoe is allowed
to write passwords.
also tried to use OpenLDAP as LDAP-Server, same problem, so i don't
think its a LDAP-Server problem.
no ideas left what i could try.
Thanx a lot
Christian
