Tandberg DLT8000 st.conf entry?

Hi all,

I'm trying to connect a Tandberg DLT8000 (via an Antares U3WL SCSI card)
to either of a Blade 100 running Solaris 8, or an Ultra 5 running
Solaris 7. No luck so far:

% mt status
/dev/rmt/0n: No such device or address

The SCSI card detects the drive fine, both from a probe-scsi-all and
at boot:

Nov 26 16:27:38 hostname unix: /pci@1f,0/pci@1/ANTR,2u3wl@3/st@4,0 (st4):
Nov 26 16:27:38 hostname <Vendor 'TANDBERG' Product 'DLT8000 '>
Nov 26 16:27:38 hostname unix: st4 at glm20:
Nov 26 16:27:38 hostname unix: target 4 lun 0
Nov 26 16:27:38 hostname unix: st4 is /pci@1f,0/pci@1/ANTR,2u3wl@3/st@4,0

And the devices are successfully created in the appropriate /dev
and /devices directories.

Now, Tandberg don't guarantee the drive works under Solaris ... they
say that Sun claim that to support it, but they have not verified that.
I can't see any mention of a Tandberg DLT8000 at Sunsolve. Since this
drive is definitely detected, perhaps it is a driver issue? I have
installed the latest st.conf patches from Sun, but the comments don't
mention the Tandberg DLT8000 either (they DO mention the Quantum DLT8000).

So is anyone out there successfully using the Tandberg DLT8000 under
Solaris, or know what the proper st.conf entry might be? Is it
possible to just modify the Quantum DLT8000 entry - which was posted
to this list last year? (see below).

tape-config-list=
"QUANTUM DLT8000", "Quantum DLT8000 (in st.conf)", "DLT8k-data";
DLT8k-data = 1,0x38,0,0x1D639,4,0x84,0x85,0x88,0x89,3;

Thanks for any and all help - will summarize.
