Thanks to everyone who's been helping me on this:

I setup on install/boot server..But,I got a testing disaster!! upgrade
install became initial install...it wiped out everything the server had and
installed as new, although I specified 'install_type' as 'upgrade'.

Here is what I have:

My /jumpstart/profile

# profile keywords profile values
install_type upgrade
backup_media remote_filesystem backup_server:/export/home/upgrade
geo N_America
isa_bits 64
#layout_constraint
locale en_US
root_device c0t0d0s0
cluster SUNWCiof delete
cluster SUNWCwsdk delete
cluster SUNWCwbem delete
....and more clusters and packages in the list

My profile test output (after I ran pfinstall on the client)

Parsing profile
         0: # profile keywords profile values
         1: install_type upgrade
         2: backup_media remote_filesystem
backup_server:/export/home/upgrade
         3: geo N_America
         4: isa_bits 64
         5: #layout_constraint
         6: locale en_US
         7: root_device c0t0d0s0
         8: cluster SUNWCiof delete
         9: cluster SUNWCwsdk delete
        10: cluster SUNWCwbem delete

My /jumpstart/rules

# The following rule matches any system:
any - - any_machine -

My /jumpstart/rules.ok (after I run ./check)

any - - any_machine -
# version=2 checksum=1909

My /jumpstart/sysidcfg

system_locale=en_US
timezone=US/Eastern
timeserver=localhost
terminal=dtterm
network_interface=PRIMARY {protocol_ipv6=no netmask=255.255.255.0}
security_policy=NONE
name_service=NONE
root_password=xxxxxxxxxx

My /etc/bootparams

client1 root=server1:/export/home/install/Solaris_8/Tools/Boot
install=server1:/export/home/install boottype=:in
sysid_config=server1:/jumpstart install_config=server1:/jumpstart
rootopts=:rsize=32768

What did I do wrong to blow out my test server?

Thanks in advance
