Dear Sun Managers,
I am getting the following problem when I start my machine:
The /var file system (/dev/rdsk/c1t2d0s6) is being checked.
Can't open
/dev/rdsk/c1t2d0s6
/dev/rdsk/c1t2d0s6: CAN'T CHECK FILE SYSTEM.
/dev/rdsk/c1t2d0s6: UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY; RUN fsck MANUALLY.

WARNING - Unable to repair the /var filesystem. Run fsck
manually (fsck -F ufs /dev/rdsk/c1t2d0s6). Exit the shell when
done to continue the boot process.

But when I do at the root prompt, I get the following error:

# fsck -F ufs /dev/rdsk/c1t2d0s6
Can't open /dev/rdsk/c1t2d0s6

Any suggestions? I checked on google and the sunmanager archives, but I
could only find similar questions not anwsers. Also I want to make sure,
the commands I type make sense. Thanks in advance.

Aravind
