Problem in Automatic Shutdown

Hi ,

I am having problem with automatic shutdown of Solaris Intel version (
2.8) .
While manual shutdown with the same command works.

I have created a crontab script for the same , which uses the following
command

shutdown -y

At the specified time the shutdown starts but does not completes.
It shows the following error in mail.

Standard Input not a tty line.

Please help me out of this problem
