Listing open files in a filesystem without 'lsof' - More Help required.

Hi,

Thank you for the 40 + (not as in age) people who replied to my query.

I tried fuser -cu /mount-point and had a response of
/mount-point: 3228c 3327c

I then executed the command again with the '-k' option, i.e.
fuser -k /mount-point

I then attempted to umount the file system again, but alas, I still
received the busy message.

Further on in the abundance of messages, one person mentioned checking
if the mount point was being 'share'd.
which it was.

So I executed 'unshare /mount-point' and I was told it wasn't shared,
but in the 'share' listing it was there.
I executed 'unshareall', which unshared everything BUT the /mount-point,
which again said it didn't exist.

I looked in the /etc/dfs/dfstab file and it was there, so I removed it.
Then did 'share /mount-point', and then 'unshare /mount-point' and it
the removed it.

HOWEVER, I still cannot umount the filesystem ?!?!?!?

I even shutdown the nfs server and client.

Next, I downloaded the precompiled 'lsof' 64-bit package from
sunfreeware.com, but it cannot
see any files open, either.

I also used pfiles to examine the processes in /proc, but there weren't
any associated with /mount-point.

Looks like I'm going to have to reboot the machine, or is there any
other ideas?

Sorry I didn't mention it before, but I'm on Solaris 7.

Thank you
Craig.
