Hi Sunmanagers,
We have a problem with static linking of libraries while building an
application on a Solaris 8 system. We have specified the options '-B
static' for the ld flags in our Makefile for one of the libraries
libxxxx.so, which is to be linked static. But still, when we build our
application and check the dynamic libraries used by the binary, using the
command 'ldd', it shows that library also in the output (dynamically
linked). So, our application fails, requiring for this library. Can anyone
suggest me what could be the problem and help me resolve the problem.
