I have a problem where ssh port forwarding does not appear to be working
correctly with Xwindows. When I execute 'ssh -X user@server" the user's
DISPLAY variable is not set. In addition, the .Xauthority file does not get
created in the user's home directory, which is probably the source of the
problem. When I attempt to create an .Xauthority file using "xauth" I get a
messge indicating the the .Xauthority file is being created in the proper
directory, but it doesn't show up there.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I have searched 'google' and the Sunmanagers list, to no avail. I will
provide a summary.
