Unusual slowness on a SB100 w/Solaris 8.

Hello Sunmanagers,

I have this SunBlade 100 model with Solaris 8 which servers a web portal.
Don't know exactly how this slowness began. However I found dozens of
/usr/sbin/cron processes runing, besides the httpd processes that I think
would be normal. I restarted the cron process with /etc/init.d/cron and
only one copy came up. This is quite weird since the web portal responds at
a good speed. File editions with "vi" are quite normal too. However, others
utiliies such as "ps -ef" or "df -k" hangs right after the header of each
one of these utilities. "ls -l" hangs after "total 9999" but "ls ." (dot)
responds immediately. A truss execution for everyone of these utilities
shown detentions for system calls such as "sigsuspend" and "poll". I am
researching what is the lastest patches level installed in this machine.
Meanwhile I'd like to hear your expert oppinion.

Thank you all !

- Andres.
