Putting more than 1.45MB on a floppy disk

Dear Managers,

Is there a way to put more than 1.45Mb on a 3.5" floppy using a Sparc
Machine running Solaris 8.

I need to put 1474560 bytes onto a floppy.

I use dd to copy the file
dd if=TheFile of=/floppy/unnamed_floppy/TheFile bs=512

and i can fit in only 1457152 bytes.

Need these as boot floppies.

Any help will be appreciated.
