ultra10 keeps rebooting with PCI error

We have an Ultra10 workstation that keeps rebooting. During reboot it finds
block errors on system partition and corrects them but after that it scrolls
some PCI errors (simba-0, PCIPSY-0, "PCI fault log start" "PCI primary error"
are some of the words I remember seeing). It then dumps everything onto swap
and reboots. During next reboot it finds the same block errors it had fixed
before and the cycle starts. I am not able to boot off cdrom as it still goes
through same error sequence. Is something wrong with hardware? Once I was
successful in booting off of cdrom. I then was able to repair the system disk
using fsck. But after reboot it went into same sequence of errors. During
reboot, somehow the system disk gets corrupted. I would like get some data off
of the system disk. What is the best course of action here?

thanks
Sridhar
