SUMMARY:FTP and Solaris 8

All you guys...and I mean that literally,
I knew it!!! It was /etc/ftpusers and the whole thing was compounded by
lots of incidental problems(somebody changed an ordinary user password and
didn't tell me, I must have mistyped "ftpusers" the first time since I
didn't find that file...) that you all have had and don't want to hear
about. I still wish there was a "things you need to know" section of the
docs that would have said "oh, by the way...". I understand about security
but there are four firewalls between these machines and any external access
and I hope Solaris isn't going to start showing that distressing Linux
tendency to constantly tell me I'm too stupid to be working as the root
user. :)

Thanks for the help, as always
