Using Compaq hard drives

Hi all;

I have a Sun Ultra 2 with two Multipaks attached. One unit has 6 generic hard drives
4 - 18 gb that are all fine.

I've just retired a couple of Compaq servers and kept 6 Compaq 9 GB drives
and a couple of 18's. They're all 80 pin LC scsi. I dropped some of them into
the second multipak and tried to format them using an Ultra 1 (the platform
doesn't really matter). Anyway, the drives have obviously got incorrect
block sizing (or perhaps more), but I'd like to reformat them to work
with Solaris.

I'm using Solaris 9 - the drives show up as 2gb (9 gig drive) and 4.3 gb
for the 18 gig. Any suggestions as to what I could try to format them
correctly with a Solaris utility (Seagate suggested using their Seatools Enterprise,
but I don't have the x86 hardware to do this).

Thanks,

Drew.
