A1000 Battery Age

Is there a way to manually manipulate the battery age in an A1000, other
than resetting it? I have one that was replaced about nine months ago, and
noone reset the battery age. Just got the AEN events saying it was time to
replace the battery. For now, I've just reset the age. But is there some
way to tell it that the battery is already nine months old?
