Gurus,
I am installing a helpdesk application, Remedy, on a Solaris 2.6 Unix box.
Part of the installation upgrades the oracle database files, that are
already present on the server.
The installation falls over whilst upgrading the database, with the
following error:-
Running DB upgrade. This may take several minutes .... ld.so.1:
/usr/ar/ora_db/arupora: fatal:
/export/home/oracle/7.3.4/lib/libclntsh.so.1.0:bad ELF type: ET_NONE
Killed
We are running Oracle version 7.3.4.
Does anyone have any idea what a "bad ELF type" error signifies and how we
can sort it?
Regards,
