I tried tosend this question tothe amanda users list,
but haven't been able to figure out the correct e-mail
address. So if anyone can help me out I would
appreciate it.
I am kind of new to unix. I am trying to install
amanda 2.4.3 on my Solaris 8 system.
I downloaded the file
Then unpacked it with gzip -d amanda-2.4.3.tar.gz
Then tar -xvf amanda-2.4.3.tar
cd amanda-2.4.3
# ./configure --with-user=amanda --with-group=backup
This looked like it ran ok, so I ran make and here is
where I ran into problems.

I have searched the archives and read the FAQs but
