Custom Jumpstart going interactive.

Hi all. I've RTFMed this one (Google, Google
Groups, Sunsolve, etc) and I've seen people report similar problems but
not report an answer that has worked for me.

Note: throughout this post I've disguised IPs, MAC addresses, etc.

I'm building a Custom jumpstart server to rebuild development boxes for
the developers here (save me time in the long run :).

I setup an install server:

First CD:

% setup_install_server /opt/jumpstart/install

2nd CD:

% add_install_server /opt/jumpstart/install

I'm booting the client with boot net - install.

I used the following command to setup the install client:

./add_install_client -i "192.168.1.100" -e x:x:xx:xx:xx:xx -s
donegal:/opt/jumpstart/install -c donegal:/opt/jumpstart/conf -p
donegal:/opt/jumpstart/conf kilkenny sun4u

The box boots to the point where you get the line that says:

Using sysid configuration file 192.168.1.50:/opt/jumpstart/conf/sysidcfg

The install then drops into an interactive mode to get dns & subnet
information. The interesting thing is the defaults in the interactive
configuration come from the sysidcfg file so I know it is readnig it :)
Even more interesting is the entries in the dns search path are truncated
as they are quite lone.

Here is my sysidcfg file:

system_locale=en_AU
timezone=Australia/Queensland
terminal=vt100
network_interface=primary {dhcp
                           protocol_ipv6=no}
security_policy=none
root_password=xxxxxxxxxxxx
name_service=DNS {domain_name=very.long.domain.com.au
                  name_server=192.168.1.1
                  name_server=192.168.1.2
                  search=very.long.domain.com.au,short.domain.com.au}
timeserver=localhost

I've set timeserver to localhost & will resolve this when all else is
working. I've also tried the install with name_service=NONE (and none).
If I try this it still goes interactive (although asks less questions of
course).

I've also looked at patch 109318-28, which is known to fix a few
jumpstart problems but the system already had this from the last
recommended patch cluster I installed.

After I finish the short interactive part of the install the box installs
fine without further interaction (although I'm yet to put a finish script
in to personalise it for our developers :)

So, after RTFMing extensively this one has me baffled.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'll summarise back to the list.
Cheers,
        -Rob
