Hi Managers,
I have a Solaris 8 system (E-450) that has a public IP number for server
access. I'd like to put a second local IP number on it to run a database
server that cannot be accessed from outside our local subnet.
I can add the second IP number OK (hostname.le0:1), and I have the routing
set up OK, but is it possible to restrict the database's port to accept
requests only from the local IP number?
The only way I know to configure this is to put an entry for the db port in
/etc/services, but it doesn't specify which IP numbers the port responds to.
TIA,
Rick
