ipv6

Hi All,

I have an inhereted 280R with Sol 8, and end users required a trust setup
with another host ( for rcp rsh etc while i wait ssh licence for box ) -
this was done no problems,

However oddity when rcp - see below; ( ip's changed )

$ rcp user@194.125.122.70:/dir/subdir/testfile .
::ffff:194.125.122.70: unknown host

seems to be translating the ip into ipv6 format. However using hostnname in
command works fine. End user wants to script based on the IP rather than
hostname ....so - clues ? i assume ipv6 was enabled when sol8 was installed.

Any workaround ?

I tried ( from the rcp man page ) to use square brackets around my proably
wrong ipv6 address [::fff0:194.125.122.70] but this came up same issue.

Thanks

Laurence
