Several people responded and thanks to all of them...
As it turns out I cannot (or according to Sun it has not been "tested")
swap the 270 out and put in a 400mhz.
In order to determine if it is possible you can reference the part
numbers at

And see if different processor modules are compatible with different
system boards.
