Hi Gurus,

I had gigabit ethernet/P 2.0 card on Sun Fire F6800 , earlier in a different
slot which later got installed in a different slot. As of now I see ge1 on
the system and no ge0. Is there any way, I can force ge1 to ge0 without a
reboot.Following are some outputs from the system for reference.

        grep ge /etc/path_to_inst
        "/ssm@0,0/pci@1f,700000/network@2" 1 "ge"
        "/ssm@0,0/pci@1f,600000/network@1" 0 "ge"

        ifconfig ge0 plumb
ifconfig: SIOCSLIFNAME for ip: ge0: no such interface
   ifconfig ge1 plumb
(goes through w/o any error message)

TIA
Dayanand
