Hello,
Platform: Solaris 8 sparc with lastest recommended patch
Problem: the command does not show the correct info.
I did a strings to the /var/adm/utmpx /var/adm/wtmpx files
and it shows the correct info.
I cp /dev/null to both /var/adm/utmpx /var/adm/wtmpx and
make sure the files has the correct permissions and ownerschip
and even rebooted the system.. no luck.
-rw-r--r-- 1 root bin 6696 Oct 15 20:53 /var/adm/utmpx
-rw-r--r-- 1 adm adm 8028 Oct 15 15:02 /var/adm/wtmpx
Someone know what is wrong? maybe a known problem and there is a patch
for it? :-)
