Hello,
I hope someone can help me with this weird problem.
The system is a HP Netserver 50, and installed a fresh Solaris 8-x86
everything was fine no problem, rebooted (due to move and such)
But couple months ago we installed the Recommended Patch Cluster
and since everytime the system is rebooted it drops into the 'boot
debugger' mode....
The system boot and then when the following message is displayed
Please wait....
it drops to the boot debugger mode and the following is shown
Entering boot debugger:
[c000:2dd7]:
we then neet to type 'c' (continue) about 100 times teh system then
continues then drops back in boot debugger mode with following message
Starting kernel/unix:
[fe800000]:
we then once again type 'c' just once and the system continues with the
boot process and the system wor fine (for months....) and since we do
not (almost never) need to reboot the system, we never bother to figure
out why this happend....
So today we installed the lastest Recommended Patch Cluster and remember
we never fixed the problem ... and indeed it's this there....
so can someone tell me what todo to make sure next time teh system is
down/rebooted we do not have someone typing the 'c's to get the system
back online ??
thanks! will summary
