Replacing Mirrored Drive

Solaris 8, Disksuite 4.2.1, I have the prmary disk that failed and have a replacement. I would like some information regarding replacement?

Do I detach the bad mirrors and metaclear them, then replace and rebuild.

or

Do I bring the bad mirror's offline and replace the disk.

I also did a metaclear on the swap space and need to bring that back to the db.

The disksuite manual isn't clear about the actual steps to replace a harddisk.
