Hi ,
I have an SS20 machine with 128MB RAM ,75mhz CPU.
One Turbo GX card (501-2325).
The problem was the machine rebooting automatically.
I changed the memory.I tried with single ,single memory.
i mean only with 32MB memory on single slot.
still it reboots
Then i thought it may be problem with motherboard
I changed the motherboard.
Now customer need to change the harddisk on the machine.
and I changed the harddisk.
I am trying to install new 2.5.1 o.s on this machine but it fails
giving the error
memory panic error
syncing......20.....20.....20.....20...
ok.
This is happening while trying to create /dev directories.(I am
suspecting the Turbo GX card)
Then as a trial i loaded solaris 8 and it went through.
what could be the problem here???
I am using the 2.5.1 11/97 version.
Thats case how to proceed with Solaris 2.5.1. installation on this
machine??
regards
Sajeev
