/var keeps filling up because of /var/dt/Xerrors flooding with "Warning: Select failed; error code 22"

This is an Ultra 10 running Solaris 2.6 with a patch cluster from July
installed. In the last week, this has happened three times. After the
first two, we also had the NVRAM chip start to go south where we
couldn't get into the box except from our remote console solution and
once in, couldn't get anywhere else. Sun replaced the NVRAM chip this
week. On Friday night /var filled up again with the same flood of
messages to /var/dt/Xerrors. I don't see any indication of problems in
the syslog. For now I have stopped dtlogin and the errors have
stopped.

Does any one have any suggestions on where to look for more information
or solutions.
