BlankHi All,

I have a problem here. I have a E-420 machine running Solaris 8. I have taken
a backup of a particular directory on a DAT.
When I try to restore the files from the directory only few files are
restored, then it gives the following messages :-

You have not read any volumes yet.
Unless you know which volume your file(s) are on you should start
with the last volume and work towards the first.
Specify next volume #: 1
Mount volume 1
then enter volume name (default: /dev/rmt/0)
extract file ./prod/proddata/abmx01.dbf
extract file ./prod/proddata/akd01.dbf
extract file ./prod/proddata/akx01.dbf
extract file ./prod/proddata/alrd01.dbf
extract file ./prod/proddata/alrx01.dbf
extract file ./prod/proddata/amsd01.dbf
extract file ./prod/proddata/amsx01.dbf
Mount volume 2
then enter volume name (default: /dev/rmt/0)
Wrong volume (1)
Mount volume 2
then enter volume name (default: /dev/rmt/0) 1
Cannot open 1
Mount volume 2
then enter volume name (default: 1) 2
Cannot open 2
Mount volume 2
then enter volume name (default: 2)
Cannot open 2
Mount volume 2

I have tried hard to restore the remaining files but in vain. I have another
100 files like this. Can anyone please tell me where I am going wrong or what
has to be done to restore all the files. This is URGENT !!! Please.

Thanks & Regards
Mangesh
