Cron fails with rc=3 message

Good Morning,

I have an E250 with Solaris 8 installed and recently some jobs in cron do
not work and the only message I can find in any logs is the following:

/var/cron
 username 28300 c Wed Sep 25 05:01:23 2002 rc=3

Does anyone know what the rc=3 stands for? I think the cron might be
corrupt and Will redo it. But in the meantime I would like to know what the
rc=3 message is indicating I have searched around and could not find any
info on this. This message occurs for any of the cron jobs that fail. They
all worked up until recently and will work from the command line.

Thanks,

Bob
