OS Solaris 8 2/02 (fully patched)
VM 3.2 (patched)
FCAL card Qlogic 2100
Has anyone run across an issue with Qlogic 2100 cards not seeing the 5200
arrays? I've run across this in the past, but it was always due to bad
cards. I've swapped out several cards on this server and have a hard time
believing that I have 8 bad cards. Prtdiag shows the fcal card. The
driver is present in /kernel/drv/ifp. One of my coworkers thinks he read
an article saying that Qlogic 2100 cards and Sparc III architecture do not
work with each other. Qlogic has stopped support on this device and I
haven't heard back from Sun to either confirm or deny Qlogic 2100 support.
Any ideas or resolutions are greatly appreciated. As always, will
summerize.
