Thanks to everyones help I was able to get my le0 interface to work. I am
coming for a Linux world and am farely new to the solaris environment and
have another quick and easy to answer questions for you guys:
I am trying to get my sparc host to reach the internet and I have followed
a similar path as I would in linux:
1) I assisgned the sparc an ip of 192.168.0.11 and made sure that I could
ping my linux gateway at 192.168.0.7 and that the network connectivity was
okay.
2) I created a new file resolv.conf under /etc containing the following
lines:
nameserver 206.13.28.12
nameserver 206.13.31.12
3) I added a route to the gateway using the following command:
route add net default 192.168.0.7
Now, under linux this usually is enough to get me access to the internet
on that host. But, for this sparc system I am still unable to get to the
internet after following all those steps. A ping to any website fails and
I am unable to get internet access.
Any suggestions would be grately appreciated.
