Dear Managers,

I have some old Tatung COMPstation U2, with 2 Processors and 2G of RAM.
These arent the best "app servers" but make great desktops. I have Solaris
8 installed on these machines, but the machines boot into 32-bit mode
since the firmware doesnt support the 64-bit OS.

I am asked to upgrde to

OBP 3.11.2 1997/12/05 10:25

I called Tatung and they want $200 for it.

Are these not Reprogrammable, do the "Suns" use EEPROM's ?

Any pointers on how to changes the PROM's will be helpful...
