Hello managers,
Has anyone installed CUPS (www.cups.org) printing under Solaris 8? I am
having various difficulties, including:
- With a flat install (without any PPD files or cupsomatic script), I
get an error message similar to this:
"Unable to convert file 0 to printable format for job 1!"
- With the PPD files from linuxprinting.org (along with their cupsomatic
perl filter), the jobs seem to get through properly, but they just don't
print (and the printers show no sign of activity).
- I've tried the whole setup on my linux laptop and it works flawlessly
(it just prints).
If anyone has done that kind of setup, please share your experience and
thoughts with me.
