Hello friends,
I have sunfire 280, solaris 8.
I want to install gcc. I downloaded from sunfreeware gcc3.2.
I did necassary operation, but I took error message like,
# cd gcc-3.2
# pwd
/tmp/gcc-3.2
# mkdir objdir
# cd objdir
# ../configure --with-us=/usr/ccs/bin/as --with-ld=/usr/ccs/bin/ld --disable-nls
Configuring for a sparc-sun-solaris2.8 host.
Created "Makefile" in /tmp/gcc-3.2/objdir using "mh-frag"
/usr/ucb/cc: language optional software package not installed
*** The command 'cc -o conftest -g conftest.c' failed.
*** You must set the environment variable CC to a working compiler.
# pwd
/tmp/gcc-3.2/objdir
is there any idea.
