Hi all,
I have an E250 Server.
Configuration:
6 internal harddisk, 4 external harddisk , 2 processor, 2gb
memory.
dds-3 dat drive ,CDROM drive
I have problem with DDS-3 dat drive. All the problem is started
after changing the original DDS-3 drive and put another HP drive
.
After that we have changed 3-4 drive on this machine because of
differnet problems.Main problem is we are getting the Drive tested
on
NT machine and on the site we are putting on Solaris Box.
We have faced the following problem
1.Not able to eject the tapes from the drive.(Normally we are
inserting the first tape on the drive and starting backup.but when
i am trying to eject that tape and try to put another tape it is
not ejecting from the drive.) .If i restart the server that tape
come out. while trying to eject all the indication lights of the
drive are off.
Note:
I have seen this problem with several E250/E450 machine.sometimes
at OK prompt itslef i am not able to eject.
whether some termination problem?At the end of CDROM cable there
is a termination.DAT drive SCSI id =5 and CDROM =6.ensured that no
scsi ID clash with all HArddisks

Now this is the 4th drive i am changing .I have noticed that the
drive model is C1554-20102.but when i say probe-scsi-all it
shows
C1537. why so ? if I am using C1554 i have to put some extra entry
in st.conf? or the default entry of C1537 will Do?
