Followup: Using ISDN on Sparcstation LX

Hi!

First of all, thanks for the replies I've received so far.

I've researched this a bit further, and came across this not-too-old
article discussing ISDN on Sparc hardware (in German):

http://www.sunroot.de/howtos/sunisdn.shtml

What I'm looking for seems to be "SunISDN 1.0.4", which Sun apparently has
abandoned. I was able to dig up a manual, though, on another guy's homepage:

http://sites.inka.de/pcde/isdnuserguide.ps

All that's missing are the packages now. :-(

What I had in mind when I first posted the question was that I'm wondering
if it might be possible to set up my LX running 2.8 as a server for direct
dial-in (non-IP) from GSM without the general IP clunkyness when all I want
is a shell prompt. I might try a modem, but since ISDN is more common where
I live, using a modem is a bit awkward.

I only know one thing yet. 2.8 seems to support the hardware directly from
the box:

[root@ellix isdn]# ls -l /dev/isdn
total 2
drwxr-xr-x 5 root root 512 Apr 1 22:10 0
[root@ellix isdn]# uname -sr
SunOS 5.8

If anyone knows a mirror for those packages (or better even, a direct
download URL from Sun), that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all,

-martin

It is easier to fix Unix than to live with NT.
