Hello Managers,
I have a problem with an Ultra 1 170E and its internal ethernet. For
some reason I cannot get a link light with the TP port. I haven't tried
the MII port, as I don't have a dongle for it. The machine is hooked up
to a 3Com 10/100 hub on a verifiably good cable and good port. Other Sun
machines are hooked up to the same device so the hub isn't faulty. I've
even made sure that I use a port and cable that were hooked up with
another hme ethernet based machine. Could it be possible that the MII
port is being used and that I need to move some jumper or set something
in OBP for the TP port to be used?
Here's what I get from a watch-net;
