Hi All,
I have the following simple setup.
LAN ---- Cisco Router ---- SUN Solaris 8
The Sun is running rdisc (icmp router discovery) as a host, and it learns
the cisco router as a default router via icmp router discovery. The
preference of advertised routes from the router is zero. (default value for
icmp rdisc)
What is the preference/weight of a default route configued manually in
/etc/defaultrouter when comapred to the 'zero' of the route learnt by rdisc
? (The manual route is not the same as the one advertised via rdisc)
How can I view the preference/weighting of the multiple default routes on
the sun box from a Solaris point of view
(ie what weights is the Solaris box is seeing for the multiple default
routes it knows)
Any help will be great !
